Trayectoria artística Entre 1477 y 1496 trabajó principalmente en Polonia. Entre sus obras más importantes se encuentra el majestuoso altar mayor de la iglesia de la Virgen María, en Cracovia, de dimensiones enormes, que comenzó en 1477 y concluyó en 1489. El altar describe la Muerte y Asunción de la Virgen con gran austeridad; esta obra le situó ya como uno de los grandes maestros de la escultura gótica.
